My research combines neuropsychological assessment and neuroimaging (structural and functional) methods to evaluate development in infants and children with various medical conditions. My work has focused in the field of isolated oral clefts (assessing biological mechanisms of etiology of learning disabilities) and prematurity (assessing impact of differential treatment of anemia). I also collaborate with research on Autism Spectrum Disorder, Huntington's Disease, chronic kidney disease, hemophilia, and oncology.

The overall goal of my research is to understand neurobiological markers related to developmental disabilities occurring in children with various medical conditions, and using that knowledge to improve diagnostic protocols and interventions.
