I have taken over and run placebo-controlled investigation drug trials in Dravet syndrome and Lennox-Gastaut syndrome and seen them to completion and have completed the open labelled extensions on these trials. I have also been involved in multiple other placebo-controlled trials and natural history trials for Dravet syndrome and CDKL5 related epilepsy. I have participated in trials involving tuberous sclerosis as well. I am also involved in several database acquisition studies. These trials have given me the necessary knowledge to appreciate the numerous members involved in such studies as well as the intricacies of the IRB process. I understand the importance of communication between investigational participants and within the team. New drug investigational trials would build on my experience already acquired through these trials. I am comfortable with trials regarding epilepsy and seizure diagnoses.
