Biography

I am a board certified behavior analyst and graduate student in psychology who serves individuals, with and without intellectual and developmental disabilities, who display severe and challenging behavior. As a clinician, I work in brief and intensive outpatient clinics that center on the assessment and treatment of challenging behavior. I also work in a clinic with individuals with tics utilizing the comprehensive behavioral intervention for tics (CBIT) model. Many publications have been a result of clinical work, and the research team I am a part of remains active in publishing. Our research, which has received both institutional and federal funding, has addressed: self-injury, communication preference, the use of psychotropic medication, relapse of challenging behavior, and fNIRS neuroimaging technology. I have presented this research at local and national conferences.
