I am interested in the role sleep plays in brain development in the early postnatal period. Children with neurodevelopmental disorders (NDD) often have comorbid sleep disturbances. Understanding whether disordered sleep emerges prior to diagnosis of NDD could provide earlier diagnosis and potentially another route for intervention.
